| Favorite Holiday Korea has many holidays: Christmas, White Day, Valentines Day, Chuseok, Lunar New Years, etc... Which holiday is your favorite? What is your favorite holiday and why? How did the holiday start? Who do you celebrate the holiday with? What is the normal tradition for the holiday? Does your family celebrate it in a special way? What is the benefit of the holiday? Example: My favorite holiday is Christmas, because I get to buy lots of presents for my family and I get lots of presents also! Christmas became a holiday because it is a celebration of the birth of Jesus, the son of God. I celebrate Christmas with my Mom, Dad, 3 brothers and sister. The normal tradition for Christmas is to exchange presents with your whole family, decorate a Christmas tree/home, and to have a Christmas feast. Sometimes, on Christmas Eve, we are allowed to open 1 present. On Christmas day, before we open the presents, my father will read the Christmas story from the bible to remember why we celebrate Christmas! I think that Christmas makes the family more connected, and we show more love to each other. |
